About
A Southern Songwriter Without Borders
Blending Heartfelt Lyrics With Modern Sonic Landscapes
Music has always been at the center of my life. I grew up on a small 40-acre farm in the South, where faith, family, hard work, and community were part of everyday life. Those experiences shaped the person I became and continue to influence the stories I tell through my music. The songs I write come from real emotions and real moments — love, heartbreak, hope, struggle, redemption, and everything in between.
Growing up, I was inspired by a wide range of music. From country and gospel records playing at home to the soulful sounds of legendary Memphis radio station WDIA, I was drawn to music that carried honesty, depth, and feeling. Those influences eventually evolved into the genre-blending sound I create today, moving between electronic, indie dance/disco, R&B, and country while always staying grounded in strong storytelling and emotional authenticity.
As a BMI songwriter since 1987, my professional journey began with the release of my R&B/disco single, “Has Somebody Else Been Loving You,” through the Los Angeles independent label Baywest Records. Since then, songwriting has remained more than just a creative outlet for me — it’s a way of connecting with people through shared emotion and experience.
I’ve always considered myself a lyricist first. Whether I’m writing a country ballad, an atmospheric electronic track, or an emotionally driven R&B song, my focus is always the same: creating music that feels genuine and leaves a lasting impact. I believe the best songs are the ones that make listeners see themselves inside the story.
Today, I’m continuing to build a new chapter creatively — blending Southern roots, soulful influences, and modern production into music that crosses genres while remaining honest at its core. My goal is simple: to create songs that move people emotionally and stay with them long after the music fades.
